How to Train a Beagle to Fetch a Squeaky Toy

As a hunting dog breed, beagles love anything that makes noise and moves. Often expressing their joy with sonorous howls and wagging tails, beagle puppies show a joy in the chase and in playing that few other breeds possess. Harnessing a beagle puppy's desire to chase, capture and play is quite easy, especially with the right kind of toy. A squeaky toy provides both auditory and tactile stimulation for your beagle puppy.

Instructions

Sit on the floor with your beagle puppy. Play with the puppy a little bit by showing it a treat and leading it around in circles. Pet it and use an enthusiastic tone of voice to build excitement.
