Slide the wire into the hole in the ground rod clamp and tighten the screw as tight as possible. Use a wrench or pliers to tighten the ground clamp so it bites into the metal of the rod.

Run a fence wire or rope from the "hot" terminal on the fence controller to the closest part of the fencing, tie or bend the wire to connect snugly together. Turn on the electric fence controller.
