How to Train a Westie to Jump Through a Hoop

The American Kennel Club describes the West Highland white terrier, or "Westie," as a confident breed that excels at agility. Lift the hoop off the ground slightly, and give the command to jump through it. Reward your Westie with a treat and lots of praise when he jumps through the hoop. Repeat the process regularly. Progress by gradually lifting the hoop higher. Avoid lifting the hoop higher than the dog is able to jump.
